1702   Hallmästarvägen

The city block is part of a larger scheme transforming Stockholm’s meat packing district into a more mixed use area. The block contains mostly housing but is combining a variety of building types. Two large scale buildings are placed along the bigger streets north and south of the block and smaller row houses and terraced buildings are placed in between inside the block. Instead of a private courtyard there is a network of alleys serving the different dwellings and creating a variety of semi-public spaces. The different buildings share the same material language of red brick, with details in concrete and wood.
